Katy Belden

Mrs. Katy-Sue Belden has been working at Leap Frog Nursery School as a classroom assistant, long-term substitute teacher and student aid for many years. She is an energetic and fun presence in both the preschool and PreK classroom and she engages the children in hands on educational lessons based on play. Miss Katy is a favorite of all the students because she is so friendly and approachable. Children love sitting in her lap for a story and playing in the dramatic play area of the classroom with her.

Miss Katy lives in Castleton with her family where she is raising two lovely sons. She is a member of the Castleton Lions Club serving as membership chair and she spends time volunteering with the club for the benefit of the local community. She enjoys all things in nature and spends time each summer camping. Miss Katy also loves animals and has several at home including dogs, chickens, turkeys, and goats. She graduated from Castleton University in 2009 with a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and kindergarten – eighth grade Special Education. She is a huge asset to the Leap Frog Nursery School program and continues to amaze staff and families with her dedication to teaching and her knowledge of a wide variety of children’s interests.
